Background
Mark Dooley, technical advisor at Marine Speed, has a passion for boating and over 40 years of experience in the industry. He specialises in boat-building, design, and engineering.
Mark started his career as an apprentice boat-builder, and later on progressed into the design office. With a wealth of boating knowledge, Mark then spent more than 30 years in technical engineering sales.
This included sorting engines, gearboxes, stern-gears, and propellers, as well as resolving problems faced by customers all over the world. This mix of hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge gives Mark the ability to diagnose the problem and propose the best solutions.

Our work is focused on what’s below deck and outside of the vessel. It is important, when viewing a vessel out of the water, to start below the water line before going inside. Accurate information is key to identifying and solving the problem.
